Method for handling connections in communications switching systems in an integrated services network (ISDN)

It is intended that a subscriber be able to determine for himself the way in which calls are to reach him, these calls being selectable according to their origin. It is furthermore intended to be possible to specify that specific calls are rejected. In the communications switching system, a memory is provided which has destination areas assigned to connections which are to be called. Identifiers of possible callers and connection identifiers assigned to these callers are stored therein. The connection identifiers serve to specify the way in which the identified incoming connections are offered to the required subscriber or are rejected. A comparator serves to identify whether identifiers are recorded for a caller, the connection concerned being handled in a specific manner depending on the recorded connection identifier. With the information entered into the memory by the subscriber himself or from a central station, specific connections can be switched through with prioritisation or can be announced in a special way, and the rejection of unwanted callers can also be effected.
