A transformer housing (10) having a transformer chamber (20) which can be filled with a casting compound after insertion of the transformer (22) has at least one partition wall (30) which can be pushed in and divides a terminal housing (24, 26) for electrical connecting terminals (36, 44) from the transformer chamber, and through which electrical cables (40) are passed in order to connect the connecting terminals to the windings of the transformer. The connecting terminals (36, 44) can thus be wired up before the insertion of the transformer into the transformer housing and can subsequently be inserted into the housing together with the transformer and the partition walls (30). This makes it possible to achieve simple assembly of the connecting terminals and reliable sealing of the transformer chamber (22) from the terminal housing (24, 26). <IMAGE>
