Surgical needle for middle ear and accident surgery, as well as for reconstruction of the rear wall of the auditory canal, on which a drop of an aqueous mixture of a vitreous ionomer material which hardens to form a vitreous ionomer cement is suspended. In a process for obtaining this surgical needle, the powdered calcium aluminium silicate glass and/or calcium aluminium fluorosilicate glass, the polymer and/or copolymer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and a chelating agent which acts as a setting initiater are stirred in water with a surgical needle until a drop of the mixture remains suspended from the needle. |
