<p>PURPOSE:To improve the cutting operation of a platelike object, cutting of high preciseness and the stability of quality even when the shaped of tips are different by a method in which first and second spindles are driven simultaneously or alternately, and these spindles and a chuck table are relatively moved in the cutting direction, and then the object to be cut is cut with a plurality of blades. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of blades 6 are respectively fitted to first and second spindles 2, 3 at a prescribed distance accordingly to the shape of tips to be cut. The first and second spindles are driven simultaneously or alternately, and a plurality of blades 6 cut the object 7 to be cut by moving relatively three spindles and a chuck table 4 to the cutting direction. When the first and second spindles are simultaneously driven, the cutting of a plurality of lines are simultaneously achieved along a same cutting line, whereby the chips of square are cut. When the first and second spindles are alternately driven, the cuttings of a plurality of lines are achieved along different cutting lines respectively, whereby the tips of rectangle are cut. If the drivings of the first and second spindles are selected according to the tin-shape to be cut, effective cutting is carried out.</p> |
