PURPOSE:To obtain the title material which is capable of photo-fixation and has excellent hue reproduction properties by using a thermal recording layer comprising a diazo color forming component, and using a specified photo-and heat-sensitive component having a photo- bleaching effect for at least one other layer in the thermal recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A combination of a diazo compound with a coupler is used as a color forming system for at least one layer in a thermal recording layer. At least one compound selected from organoboron compound anionic salts of an organic cationic coloring matter compound of the formula (wherein D<+> is a cationic coloring matter, each of R1 to R4, which may be the same or different, is a group selected from alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkaryl, alkenyl, alkynyl, alicyclic groups, heterocyclic groups, allyl and derivatives thereof, and two or more of R1, R2, R3 and R4 may be linked to each other to form a cyclic structure) and at least one compound selected from compounds capable of breaking at least one of carbon-boron bonds are used for at least one other layer, in the state of being separated from each other by a microcapsule wall. By this, it is possible to achieve favorable reproduction of cyan and magenta hues, which has been difficult to achieve with a diazo compound, and it is possible to perform photo-fixation. It is therefore possible to thermal record multicolor images with excellent color reproduction, and the recorded images thus obtained has favorable preservability. |
