摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain the subject peptide in large quantity at a low cost by treating a specific protein with carboxypeptidase B. CONSTITUTION:A reaction solution having a pH of about 7.8 and containing a peptide or protein of formula I (X is arbitrary amino acid residue; Gly is glycine residue; B is lysine residue, arginine residue or oligopeptide constructed of lysine residue and/or arginine residue; R is the remaining part of the peptide or protein) is added with carboxypeptidase B and reacted at about 37 deg.C for about 30min to obtain a reaction product. The reaction product is subjected to high-performance liquid chromatography with a packed column, etc., to produce the objective carboxyl-terminal amidated peptide or protein of formula II (Gly is glycine residue at carboxyl-terminal). |
