PURPOSE:To check the rupture of the holder of a rolling bearing easily by fixing a conductive detector wire rigidly at the periphery of the end part of a ring body in such a way that both ends are in non-contact state in the holder provided with pockets for housing rolling elements in the peripheral direction of the ring body, thus checking the conductivity of the detector wire. CONSTITUTION:In the holder 7 of a conical rolling bearing, pockets 9 for housing rolling elements are formed at a tapered ring body 8 at equal spaces, an enamel wire 10 as a detector wire is wound around the large diameter part of the ring body 8 in one winding, pulled out to the small diameter side from the column part 11 between the pockets 9, and the end is fixed at a conductor piece 12 and exposed to the exterior. The conductor piece 12 is fixed at the ring body 8 through an insulator. When the large diameter end part of the ring body 8 is ruptured, the enamel wire 10 is also disconnected, so that the rupture of the holder 7 can be checked easily as well as positively by checking the conductivity of the conductor piece 12. In addition to the enamel wire, molten metal can be also used by printing it linearly. |
