<p>This invention relates to a starter motor in which an axial projection is formed on the gear-side end surface of a pinion which is meshed with an engine starter gear to transmit the rotational force thereof. The rotation of this projection enables the extraneous matter around the pinion to be crushed and removed, and the meshing of the pinion with the gear to be done speedily.</p> |
