Wind deflector for a vehicle roof having a spring part (6) with two shanks (12) and (13) and a profiled part (9) of flexible textile material whose ends (10) and (11) are fixed to the shanks. The first shank (12) is attached to the frame (2) and the second shank (13) is pressed down in a direction vertical to the first shank, whereby the wind deflector (5) achieves its operating position on releasing the spring and stretching the profiled fabric. ADVANTAGE - Wind deflector taking up the minimum height and providing without any adjustment a tight closure with the fixed part of the roof.
