The invention relates to a sound-insulating screen having a rectangular box frame in which a filling made of an absorber material is arranged, as well as having planiform resonance absorbers partly covering the free ends of the box frame. It is the object of the invention to propose resonance absorbers of this type which are more versatile in application as compared to the known resonance absorbers. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the resonance absorbers in each case cover one half of an end approximately bounded by a diagonal. By means of this solution according to the invention it is guaranteed that the sound-insulating screens can be used arranged both standing and lying down.
