An electric sparkler can imitate the lighting effects of a known ignitable sparkler. This electric sparkler is characterized by the fact that low-voltage incandescent lamps (18-21) and a pulse generator (23) are housed in a transparent section of a hollow profile. The pulse generator is supplied by a direct-current voltage source and switches the low-voltage incandescent lamps on and off periodically when the sparkler is lit.
