The invention relates to a mechanical roller-blind seal which largely closes off the outlet gap for the roller-blind shutter with respect to the outer atmosphere. This takes place by means of a closure moulding which, in its effective position, bridges the gap between the outer surface of the roller-blind shutter and the opposite bounding surface, at least over sub-regions of its longitudinal extent. Said closure moulding which, in its effective position, bears on the roller-blind shutter may additionally serve as an anti-theft safeguard since, when the roller-blind shutter is raised, it engages in between two adjacent mouldings of the roller-blind shutter and thus effects positive locking.
