Transporting device for motor vehicles

A transporting device for motor vehicles is provided with a bag-like or similar container for skis, for example, which can be reduced in size to form a stowing space and, in particular, is collapsible. The transporting device has a frame casing which accommodates the stowing space of the container, secures it with at least one covering part in its accommodating position and encloses a loading channel, the outside of the said frame casing being held on a mounting space on the side of the vehicle so that it is fixed in three dimensions. The outside of the frame casing only has one fastening region which is releasibly held against the mounting field on the side of the vehicle. When in its operating position, the frame casing projects freely from the mounting space, whereas the cross-section of the loading channel is essentially perpendicular to the plane of the mounting space. The transporting device makes possible, in particular, fastening of the frame casing which is independent of the rear panel between the boot and the passenger compartment.
