<p>PURPOSE:To arrange papers in order securely without losing matching of system functions by providing a controlling means for counting the number of papers placed on a bin and making an arranging means inoperative when the counted value exceeds a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:At the time of discharging a copy, an upper entry sensor 629 or a lower entry sensor 628 for detecting the discharge of a paper to a bin is first turned ON, and is thereafter turned OFF upon completion of the discharge. The point of the change from the ON state to the OFF state corresponds to the trailing end of the paper. With the timing of the change, a timer in a CPU 600 is started, and the value on the timer is monitored. When it is judged that 300 msec has passed from the start of the timer, the timer is stopped. Simultaneously, if oscillation is possible, an oscillating motor 520 is turned ON to start oscillation. This operation is carried out each time a copy is discharged. It is thereby possible to arrange papers securely up to an arrangeable number of sheets, without affecting a stapling mode.</p> |
