PURPOSE:To intentionally select the generation timing of a pseudo fault by setting an initial value to an optional value, and optionally setting time required from the start of counting-up operation of a counter up to its overflow. CONSTITUTION:The fault generator is provided with a pseudo fault code register 5 in which pseudo fault code indicating a pseudo fault generating position is set up, a counter 4 setting an optional initial value and when the count value reaches a prescribed value by its own counting operation, outputting an output command signal, a decoder 6 for decoding the pseudo fault code inputted from the register 5 and outputting a decoding signal in accordance with the output command signal, and a means for validating/invalidating the output of the output command signal. When the initial value of the counter 4 is set up to an optional value by a diagnosis control device 2, the time required from the start of counting-up operation of the counter 4 up to its overflow can be optionally changed. Thus, the pseudo fault can be generated at an optional timing. |
