PURPOSE:To obtain a desensitizer with which printing can be conducted on not only a relief press but also a wet-type offset planographic press by incorporating a compound obtained by esterifying a specified amount of a specified fatty acid with an alkylene oxide adduct of ethylenediamine. CONSTITUTION:An alkylene oxide is added to ethylenediamine in an amount of at least 4mol, preferably 4-20mol, per mol of ethylenediamine. If the amount of the alkylendiamine is out of the range, a printing effect and a desensitizing effect tends to become worse. Esterification of the alkylene oxide adduct of ethylenediamine with a fatty acid having 5-20 carbon atoms is conducted by the usual reaction using 1-3mol of the fatty acid per mol of the adduct. The fatty acid may be an unsaturated fatty acid such as caproic acid and lauric acid, a fatty acid having a side chain, or the like. Desired additives such as a drying accelerator, another varnish, a solvent and a pigment may be added according to the purpose of use of the desensitizer, in such an extent as not to hinder the desensitizing effect. |
