PURPOSE:To perform simple and accurate casting without inflicting a pain by a method wherein, in a method of casting a patient, e.g. a muscular atrophy disease, the patient is placed on a body support structure through a wet plaster sheet and bead cushion for curing. CONSTITUTION:A bag through which air is bled is filled with foamed styrole beads with a diameter of approximate 4-7mm to form a bead cushion 14 for casting. 6 plaster sheets 10 with a thickness of approximate 1mm are piled up and sandwiched in a wet state between polyethylene sheets 12. A wet plaster sheet 10 is placed on a staged chair 16 for measurement having two vertically movable seat parts 18 and 20 on both sides through the medium of the bead cushion 14, and a patient is slowly seated down in a state to hold him in arms. Air in the bead cushion 14 is bled, a proper body position is taken as the stage part of the seat part of the chair 16 is regulated, and the plaster sheet 10 is cured for casting. This method enables execution of relatively simple and accurate casting without inflicting pain on a patient. |
