PURPOSE:To improve especially slipperiness, by combining a triglyceride of a long-chain aliphatic acid with long-chain ester of benzene polycaboxylic acid or at least one of long-chain esters of single long-chain aliphatic acid, and adding to the surface layer of a silver halide photographic material. CONSTITUTION:A triglyceride represented by formulaI(R1, R2, R3 are alkyl, and may be same or different), and benzene carboxylic ester represented by formula II (R4, R5, R6 are 12-24C alkyl, and m is 0, 1, or 2) or at least one of aliphatic esters represented by formula III (R7, R8 are each 10-20C alkyl) are combined, and added to the hydrophilic binder of the surface layer of a photosensitive material so as to control the total weight of each compd. to 0.3- 30wt% of said binder, and the compd. of formulaIto 20-80wt% of that represented by formula II or III, thus permitting slipperiness to be improved without adversely affecting photographic characteristics, transparency, etc., and scratches of the like to be prevented during handling the photosensitive material. |
