PURPOSE:To apply a patch to a memory or a file or to reverse it at an optional point of time by temporarily storing patch data, and allowing to receive an instruction from a command. CONSTITUTION:When a command sort requires memory change in patch application, a command analyzing means 3 searches a patch data storing means 2 by a specified patch number and transfers patch data to a memory changing means 4. In the case of requiring file change, the patch data searched from the means 2 are similarly transferred to a file changing means 5. The means 4 determines an address in a memory 7 from a program name in the transferred patch data and an intra-program relative address and changes the memory 7 by the contents of the patch data. The means 5 similarly determines a corresponding position in a program file storing means 6 from the patch data and changes the file by the contents of the patch data. Consequently, a patch can be applied to the memory or the file or reversed at an optional point of time.
