The invention concerns an element, that can be stored, of a device for realizing cable joints, constituted by a tubular support (1) on which a covering (2) for connections between conductors, suitable for effecting joints between cables chosen in a wide range of diameters is fitted in elastically expanded conditions. Said covering (2) comprises two coaxial and superimposed sleeves (3, 6 - 4, 7) of which the radially outermost one (4, 7) has a residual deformation due to an imposed elongation applied in time smaller than that of the radially innermost sleeve (3, 6).
