摘要 The recording material has a dimensionally stable substrate and a thin, thermally alterable recording layer which - consists of gold and of at least one of the metals ruthenium, rhodium, palladium, silver, copper, rhenium, osmium, iridium and platinum, - completely covers the surface underneath it, - contains 15 to 85 %, based on its total weight, of gold which is present predominantly in unalloyed form as a separate phase, - has surface particles having a mean particle diameter of 10 to 200 nm, - has a mean layer thickness d of 5 to 300 nm, where d is defined as <IMAGE> wherein dmin denotes the mean thickness of 10 of the thinnest points and dmax denotes the mean thickness of 10 of the thickest points of the recording layer, and which - can be prepared by coating the surface of the substrate or the surface of a layer on the substrate separately and at least twice with gold and with at least one of the stated metals alternately.
