PURPOSE: To prevent liquid from flowing backward and to absorb and distribute the liquid speedily by distributing an absorbent hydrogel producing material on the surface to be in contact with a user's body discontinuously, or preferably unevenly. CONSTITUTION: Particles of absorbent hydrogel producing material 17 are distributed discontinuously or preferably unevenly on the upper surface 16 of this absorbent element 7 which makes a surface to be in contact with a user's body. When the particles of the absorbent hydrogel producing material 17 are expanded absorbing liquid, a tissue layer 6 and a nonwoven fabric layer 5 are raised up and separated from the wet surface 16 of the pad. Since the particles are not completely saturated with the liquid, back flow of the liquid from the pad 7 to the outside can be prevented by giving pressure and the liquid can be speedily absorbed and distributed. |
