摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To compensate the drift of an emitter due to the thermal deformation of a heater for better cut-off property and stabilize a cathode-ray tube by forming upward protruded shoulder portions near both ends of the heater. CONSTITUTION: An emitter 1 to emit electrons is provided on the flat portion 3 of a W-shaped heater 2 with both ends 2a connected onto the terminals 6 of a support 7 formed of an insulator. A shoulder portion 5 protruded upward is formed near each end 2a and a bent portion 4 bent at the angular portions 4a, 4b is formed thereunder. When power is supplied to both terminals 6, the heater 2 starts heating to heat the emitter 1 and emit electrons. At this time, the shoulder portion 5 radiates the heat to the emitter 1 side and increases the temperature of the emitter, and the drift of the emitter due to thermal deformation is compensated. In this way, cut-off property is improved, a cathode ray tube is stabilized and a picture appears in a shorter time.</p>
