The invention relates to a block copolymer according to the general formula A-b-B on the basis of a furan derivative as binding group (b) and the process for the preparation hereof. The furan derivative as binding group (b) is a compound according to formula (I). The block copolymer can simply be prepared in one single reactor and is suitable for use as compatibilizer.
