1. A device for adjusting and locking in particular the inclination of the back rest of a seat, for example an aircraft or train seat, in which a piston-cylinder unit (5) is actuated on pushing a button (11) by way of a control cable release device located in an arm rest (3) of the seat, the direction of the force is changed by a lever (23) acted on by the push button (11), and the release force has a transmission outside of the arm rest through a release lever (36) connected to the lever (23) of the push-button (11) by the cable and engaging with the piston rod (42) of the piston-cylinder unit (5), characterised by a pneumatic compression spring (5) having rigid locking means and by transmission of the control cable release device in the arm rest (3) through a push button (11) applying the release force eccentrically to the lever (23). |
