PURPOSE:To adsorb iodine uniformly in a material to be treated, by moving the material to be treated, the iodine and many granular materials together in the contact state in a closed vessel. CONSTITUTION:A necessary amount of iodine crystal pieces, a material to be treated, e.g. a hydrocarbon resin, and many granular materials, e.g. glass beads, of 2-5mm. grain diameter are introduced into a glass vessel or a vessel lined with glass on the inner wall surface, and the vessel is then closed. A movement, e.g. rotation or shaking, is given to the individual vessel to move the materials in the contact state and adsorb the subliming iodine on the material to be treated. Thus, the concentration distribution of the subliming iodine in the vessel can be made uniform, and the adsorption of the iodine on the material to be treated is considered to be uniform. |
