PURPOSE:To prevent the production of useless copies, by providing a residual quantity detecting means which detects the residual quantity of a supplied developer, a warning means which indicates chrging of the supplied developer on a basis of the detection result of this detecting means, and a storage means where a copy quantity is stored. CONSTITUTION:A residual quantity detector 10 which detects the residual quantity of a supplied developer 6' is attached to the side wall of a supplied developer storing tank 7 of a copying machine. When the level of the supplied developer 6' stored in the tank 7 becomes lower than a one-dot chain line B', a warning lamp in a toner empty display frame 14 is turned on. The copying machine is provided with a means where a copy quantity after indication of charging of the supplied developer 6' is stored; and when the picture quality becomes such degree that copies cannot be put to practical use, the copy operation is not performed even if a print button is depressed. Thus, the production of useless copies is prevented. |
