PURPOSE:To simply display a graphic not hidden in another three-dimensional graphic without increasing the number of hardwares or the volume of operation by allowing a graphic processor to judge a flag at the time of graphic display, and when hidden-surface processing is unnecessary, omitting the hidden-surface processing. CONSTITUTION:In the case of displaying a three-dimensional graphic on a CRT 3, the contents defined in a graphic command stored in a graphic command data memory 6 are interpreted and coordinate conversion is applied to the interpreted contents. Judgement (hidden-surface processing) whether the coordinate-converted result is to be displayed or not is executed from the upper- lower relation of the (z) direction, and only when display is decided, graphic display is executed. Even when the hidden-surface processing is omitted, only the judgement of display/non-display is omitted and bad influence is not exerted upon the display contents (a coordinate position, display colors, etc.). Since the decision of a flag is simple and its storage space is small, an unhidden graphic can be displayed without increasing the operation time or the number of hardwares. |
