A BEND SEGMENT FOR THE TRACK OF A CHAIN CONVEYOR,AND A METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE

A method of manufacturing a bend segment for the track of a chain conveyor, said bend segment forming an integral unit and having a substantially U-shaped cross section. A mixture of polyurethane forming components is moulded in a mould, from which mixture a polyurethane is formed in the mould. Permanent magnets may be provided in the legs of the U-shaped bend segment or in the connecting portion for the legs.
