PURPOSE:To impart good lubricity and to improve durability even in wide use environment by incorporating magnetic powder, a fatty acid ester/fatty acid mixture composed of fatty acid ester and fatty acid, and specific carbon black respectively at specific ratios into a magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:This recording medium has the magnetic layer on a nonmagnetic base. The recording medium contains 100pts.wt. magnetic powder, 5 to 15pts.wt. fatty acid ester/fatty acid =60/40 to 95/5 (by weight) mixture composed of the fatty acid ester and the fatty acid and 5 to 15pts.wt. carbon black having 0.1 to 2.0mum average single particle diameter in the magnetic layer. The recording medium which is low in the coefft. of dynamic friction in spite of a high temp. or environmental change or low temp., is substantially free from the deterioration with age and has the excellent durability is obtd. in this way. |
