PURPOSE:To obtain a reclining device adjustable only while taking a driving posture required, by engaging a slider provided with a long hole and capability of sliding step by step, with an engaging pin of a reclining arm. CONSTITUTION:A reclining arm 9 is formed on one end part 5a of a back frame 5, from whch an engaging pin 10 is protruded. A guiding long hole 11 is formed on a cushion frame 6, while a long hole 12 is opened on a slider 13. A plurality of engaging recesses 14 are formed on the slider 13 so that they can be engaged with a leaf spring 19 fixed at a through hole 18 of the cushion frame 6. A guiding long hole 17 is opened on the holding plate 16 of the slider 13 in such a way that the engaging pin 10 of the reclining arm 9 can be inserted into the hole 17 through the guiding long hole 11 and the long hole 12 to be engaged. A lever 20 is pivotally supported through a bearing piece and the internal end part 20a of the lever 20 is bended to the engaged with a groove 15a in U-shaped engaging plate 15 of the slider 13. |
