PURPOSE:To obtain a printing medium capable of leaving no printing trace even when using a dot printer by using a material incapable of producing color under pressure in the area other than printing region for characters to be printed. CONSTITUTION:Prior to the printing of first character at the least, plural dot pins are driven together. For such a printer, a printing medium 30 using a pressure-senstive chromogenic material in which the parts pressed by dot pins are colored is used. In the printing medium 30, a region 32 to be printed with character data is printed in advance, and an usual paper incapable of producing color under pressure is used in a region 36 where dot pins are driven together, located other than said printing region 32. |
