<p>PURPOSE: To lower the strain of a visible reflected image by wrinkles to a tolerable degree by using a solar control film of which the visible reflection contribution is a specific value or less in a laminated window assembly containing a composite solar/ safety film including a flexible and transparent energy absorbable plastic safety layer and laminated to a hard transparent member. CONSTITUTION: One surface of a base material 16 supports a solar control coating 18. Typically, the first layer of this coating 18 is composed of an insulating substance, for example, metal oxide. By adding the multilayer coating 18 to the base material 16, a solar control film 20 is formed. The coating 18 shows optical functionality as an interference film reflecting light within a near infrared spectrum region and useful for increasing the permeation of visible light. The optical characteristics of the solar control film 20 are controlled so as to obtain the overall characteristics of a safety glass laminate so as to conceal the wrinkle projections of the base material layer damaging the appearance of lamination. A safety film 22 comprising PVB or the like is bonded to the opposite surface of the base material 16 and the level of the contribution of the solar control film to the visible reflection of the whole laminate is set to about 2% or less.</p> |
