PURPOSE:To eliminate smash and void and to obtain and to obtain a satisfactory picture element density converting picture by converting the picture element density of original pixel data. CONSTITUTION:When the data is read by an image sensor 1 with the picture element density of the sensor, digitized in an A/D conversion part 2, and inputted to an arithmetic part 3, a ratio K from a ratio calculating part 4 is calculated and supplied to the arithmetic part 3. In the arithmetic part 3, the inputted ratio K is latched in a latch circuit 5, and whenever the ratio K is inputted from this latch circuit 5 to an adding circuit 6, two original pixel data closest to respective converting pixels are taken in latch circuits 10 and 11, and converting pixel data is calculated by a subtracting circuit 12, a multiplying circuit 9, and an adding circuit 13 and outputted. |
