PURPOSE:To transfer a fault to an external detecting circuit, by providing a progam for deciding whether data in an RAM is normal or abnormal, on a part of a regular processing program, and outputting a specific signal from an output port when the data is normal. CONSTITUTION:A deciding program is provided in a program loop which is periodically executed without fail whenever any RAM data may be abnormal. This loop always exists when a system constitution containing a detecting circuit 20 has been adopted. In this state, in case when this deciding program has detected a fault, an output S of an output port 11 is changed to that which is other than a pattern corresponding to a normal operation. As a result, the detecting circuit 20 detects an operation fault, and is capable of resetting a microcomputer 10. |
