PURPOSE:To miniaturize a drum and to improve the versatility and directivity thereof by mounting sound reflecting plates having a specific shape on the lower side of the drum. CONSTITUTION:The drum sound reflector is formed by mounting the sound reflecting plates 3 consisting of a flat plate-shaped flexible synthetic resin at every suitable interval to the peripheral edge in the lower end part of the drum 4 by means of drum mounting fittings 4. The reflecting plate 3 is formed by curving the plate to an inverted semicircular conical shape which has an arc shape on the upper edge and the base of which is the upper edge. The fittings 4 are freely attachably and detachably mounted and the outer surfaces in the contact parts of hoop rests 5 thereof are riveted to one end of rigid arm plates 9. The other end of the arm plates 9 is riveted to the reflecting plates 3. The reflecting plates 3 are thus fixed by the fittings 4. The drum is miniaturized and a narrower space is good for storage if the reflector is formed in such a manner. In addition, the transportation is easy. This reflector is commonly usable for drums of different diameters and the sufficient directivity is provided in the direction of reflecting sounds so that the sufficient far reaching characteristic is obtd. |
