PURPOSE:To effectively utilize an operating element for sound volume control by providing a connection detecting means and prolonging the attenuation time of the musical tone signals of an attenuation system when the connection state of the sound volume control elements is detected. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 10 and an operation panel 20 are provided on a body side. The keyboard 10 consists of plural keys which control, as performance operating elements, the generation of musical tones. The panel 20 has the timbre operating elements for selecting the timbres and is disposed with an operating element group 22 for changing of the total sound volume and selecting switching of effects. The musical tone signals are changed and controlled according to the operations of the respective musical tones if an expression pedal device 60 as the element for sound volume control is connected to the body in this case. The attenuation state of the musical tones of the attenuating system generated in a musical tone signal generating circuit 50 is made longer by an attenuation time control means than in the case when the connection state is not detected. The device 60 is effectively utilized in this way. |
