PURPOSE:To prevent the contamination around a cooking utensils induced by oil droplets scattered from a cooking pan by absorbing air from the central part of a blowoff duct by the use of a blower, discharging the air from a blowoff port, forming the flow of air curtain around the cooking pan, and providing a smoke elimination device on the suction side of the blower. CONSTITUTION:When a blower 7 is driven, the air absorbed from a suction port 5a, is discharged downward from a blow-off port 5b so that an air curtain flow 9 may be formed around a pan 2. Then, the air is absorbed again into the suction port 5a from the central part, flowing along a curved surface of the pan 2. The oil in the pan 2 produces soot 4 when it is heated, but the air curtain flow 9 prevents the soot 4 from spreading around the pan 2. When it is absorbed into the suction port 5a from the central part, the soot 4 can be eliminated by a smoke elimination device 8 so that clean air may be discharged as an air curtain flow. In this manner, the diffusion of the soot 4 is controlled so that the quantity of soot adhered to the walls around the pan may be minimized and the suction efficiency of the blower 7 may be enhanced as well. |
