PURPOSE:To eliminate the excessively large size of a 'force' part as compared with the size of a whole character by detecting a 'force' part from a contour character pattern, and correcting it, if contraction rate is a predetermined value or less, to the same line width as that of the line to which the 'force' part belongs. CONSTITUTION:A line information determining unit 14 determines informations of start, intermediate, end of a line according to the component points of the line detected by a line segment extractor 12 and a 'force' synthesis unit 13. A 'force' judging unit 17 judges whether the 'force' is reflected or not at the generated character according to predetermined enlarging, contraction rate. A bending point coordinates converter 20 multiplies the predetermined enlarging, contraction rate by the bending point of a bending point storage unit 11 to perform a coordinates conversion. A line width converter 18 multiplies the start, end points, line width of the line obtained by a line information determining unit 14 and a line width determining unit 16 by the same enlarging, contraction rate as the above enlarging, contraction rate to perform data conversion. A 'force' converter 19 determines correction data when the 'force' is reflected. A bending point correction unit 21 has four correction data per one line to correct a bending point. |
