PURPOSE:To set a blank form accurately at a position where printing is conducted by irradiating a platen with light by a printing-range display means at the location of printing-start and a position corresponding to a final printing figure from the location of printing-start when at least one of the location of printing-start and the number of printing figures per one line is varied. CONSTITUTION:A distance alpha from a home position given to the location of printing-start and the number beta of printing figures per one line are written to the first and second storage areas 14A, 14B of a RAM 14. When a light- emitting diode at a position moved only by the distance alpha stored in the first storage area 14A from the home position and a light-emitting diode at a location shifted only by the number beta of printing figures stored in the second storage area 14B from the location of printing-start are selected and light-emitting diodes L1-Ln are lit, the upper section of a platen 21 is irradiated with light, thus confirming the reflected light of the light through a transparent cover 33. Accordingly, a blank form 22 having proper size can be set accurately at a position where printing is conducted while using the reflected light as a measure. |
