PURPOSE:To prevent the development of insufficient filling and shrinkage hole by supplying volume equivalent to shrinkage of a low m.p. material in a runner and gate as molten material into a casting cavity even if the low m.p. alloy material filled up in the casting cavity is cooled and solidified and the volume thereof is shrunk. CONSTITUTION:Casting dies 1, 2 are clamped and the low m.p. alloy material 4 is poured into a hopper of molten metal supplying part 5 and filled up the casting cavity 3 through molten metal passage, runner 6 and gate 7. Then, a heating wire is heated and a pipe heater 8 embedded in the casting dies near the runner 6 and gate 7, and temp. of the material 4 is detected with a thermocouple 16 to keep this to molten state. After completing filling-up of the material, cooling water for cooling in the casting cavity 3 is flowed to cool and solidify the material 4. The pipe heater 8 is kept to heating-state till completion of the solidification. The volume of the material 4 is shrunk with the cooling and solidification, but the material of shrinkage rate is supplied through the molten metal supplying part 5. After cooling the material 4, the dies 1, 2 are opened and the core is taken out from the die. By this method, deterioration with oxidation is restrained and the generation of slag is reduced. |
