<p>PURPOSE: To conduct a necessary operation with other working wool at a pausing position without stopping a woodworking machine by providing a support laterally operable to a conveying direction of a timber by the machine, supporting two working tools by the support, and selectively operating the tools to a working position or a pausing position. CONSTITUTION: The chamfering machine comprises a slider 32 adjustable in a lateral direction to conveying direction 31 of a timber. The slider supports both vertical spindles 9, 10 having cutter heads 1, 2. Since the slider 32 is slidable between two end positions, the spindle 9 or 10 can selectively work the timber. In the case of working a side face of the timber at a right side of passing direction of the timer by the head 1, the head 2 is, for example, replaceable, or a new cutter can be mounted thereon at a pausing position. In this case, it is not necessary to interrupt the working of the timber.</p> |
