摘要 PURPOSE:To generate delicate changes in timbre by providing a musical tone signal generating means and reading out stored data according to the operations of bowing operating elements. CONSTITUTION:Bowing operation information is inputted from the bowing operating elements 11 and the operating directions are detected by a bowing operating direction detecting means 12. The musical tone waveform data are stored into a waveform memory 6 which is the musical tone signal generating means and are selectively read out according to the operations of the bowing operating elements 11. The musical tone signal waveforms DW1 read out of the memory 6 are subjected to timbre control in a timbre control circuit 7 and are further converted to bowing musical instrument tones in a musical tone forming section 9. The reading out addresses of the memory 6 are controlled in the circuit 7 according to the operating directions of the operating elements 11 detected by the circuit 3, by which the timbres are changed. A player is able to delicately change the timbres in this way if the player plays the musical instrument while operating the operating elements 11.
