Flame retardant polyester resin compsn. comprises 100 pts. wt. or polyester resin; 5-30 pts. wt. of a bromic cpd. as flame retardant; 1-20 pts. wt. of sodium antimon acid coated by polyester-polyether blockcopolymer. Pref. the bromic cpd. is aromatic bromic cpd. selected from epoxyresin bromide, styrene resin bromide, carbonate resin bromide, phenyleneoxide resin bromide, phthalic anhydride tetra bromide, benzylacrylate resin pentabromide or N,N-bis-4-bromophthal imide. Pref. the polyester-polyether blockcopolymer has ave. mol. wt. of 10000-70000 and inherent viscosity of 0.8-4.0.
