OXYGEN SENSOR

The O sensor consists of an O ion conductive solid electrolyte plate on either side of which are two electrodes. A spacer over an electrode is covered by a sealing plate. The spacer is in the form of a ring with an opening, the inside dia. of the ring being slightly greater than the outside dia. of the main part of the electrode. The sealing plate is a disk which is hermetically attached to the spacer frame, defining a chamber which opens into an environment only via the window defined by the opening in the spacer. Sensor can operate over a wide range of temps.
