EXHAUST GAS FILTER An exhaust gas filter employed to remove harmful components from exhaust gases, more particularly from exhaust gases expelled by combustion engines. The gas filter has flow channels or chambers as well as gas-permeable walls. The walls are formed by a band having compression-moulded material and spacers with the band wound into a number of spirals. The spacers serve to form flow channels by maintaining a space between the individual windings of the band. The band and, if required, further parts of the proposed filter are then sintered together to form a unit.
