<p>PURPOSE:To enable tracking control which accords with an actual track- deviaton-to-pilot-signal-level relation by providing a means which varies the relative position between an information recording medium and a read means according to a signal when a playback area is an ATF area of a selected track. CONSTITUTION:The H, R, L of a pilot signal level reproduced from the selected track and pilot signal levels of cross talk from the right and left adjacent tracks are found. Then, S=((L-R)+(H-R)).B is calculated (B: coefficient) for a (2i+1)th track or S=((R-L)+(H-L)).B is calculated for a (2i)th track to control the driving means which varies the relative position between the information recording medium and reading means according to the obtained signal S. Consequently, the tracking control which accords with the actually obtained the relation of the pilot signal level to the track shift.</p> |
