The invention relates to a sofa of a novel shape that can be converted into a circular bed. It consists of a backrest A and two armrests C, C' which drop horizontally relative to the seat B in order to provide the first circular part of the bed, and a base in three parts D, E, F with hinges between D and E and between E and F, of a shape such that when D, E and F are flat, they form the second part of the bed. The two portions are hinged between B and D in order to form the complete bed. The associated legs G and G' stabilise the assembly in the sofa form. This sofa is intended for circular bed enthusiasts having the normal amount of floor space in their home and for people who like contemporary furniture. <IMAGE>
