PURPOSE: To enable high speed signal processing in the realtime mode by providing the microcomputer with different addresses, data paths, and external program addresses bus for programs and data. CONSTITUTION: Microcomputer 10 sends an address to a memory unit 11 via a ROM 14, or ROM address bus RA, and the RCLK-of a control bus 13 to fetch an instruction word. If an instruction word is in an external program address bus the instruction word is received from a location where the memory unit 11 is addressed through data bus D. While the instruction is executed at a machine cycle, accessing a RAM 15, or writing the result in data RAM 15, and the calculation in the ALU are executed. Since, as mentioned above, this microcomputer is a single chip type computer having different addresses and data for the program and data, realtime signal processing is possible. Further, since this microcomputer has an external program address bus, an operation code is returned by the external data bus to be able to fetch an off chip program. |
