A code conversion system comprises; a control signal generator (10) for generating read/write control signals, various clock signals and distributed signals; an input conversion section (20) for converting received serial PCM data into 8-bit parallel data; a code conversion section (30) comprising the first and second conversion region to store A-law and -law data and to convert the code/ a parity check (40) for cchecking the parity state of generated data; an address generator (50); an address selector (60); a time memory (70) for compensating the timing of input/output time slots; a function checker (80); and an output conversion section (90) for converting paralele PCM data into serial A-law and -law PCM data.
